The dreaded Before image. Now that I'm looking at it, my old hair was rather atrocious.

Those of you that know me, know that I've had the same hair style for nearly 10 years now. Medium length and rather un-stylable, it was pretty boring to be honest. Given that it's nearly 2016 and I'm almost an adult, I thought it was about time that my hair reflect my age... And the decade for that matter. I've been thinking about it for a couple of months now, but haven’t really done anything about it until I had an excuse. I’ve been looking on Pinterest, creating a mood board of hair inspiration–I assure you, it’s not nearly as pathetic as it sounds–for something modern and simple.

I searched the internet for a Barber and eventually found one that looked promising and booked and appointment. I showed them a photo of Joseph Gordon-Levitt (oh uh, there’s a clue) and away we went. I didn’t hesitate, we just went for it.

Of course, me being me, I didn’t want to go with the usual take a selfie and post it on Facebook–No–I wanted something with a little more class; so I asked my friend and fashion photographer, Chris, to take some men’s fashion style photos. Well, actually, it was mainly to redo my recent headshot (seen on the left) that we took a week beforehand. I thought it was a good opportunity to showcase my new hairstyle in the best possible way. Armed with a gold Nixon watch, a classy black jacket and plenty of Muk® in my hair, we hit the photography studio to produce the most swarve before and after you’ve ever seen. When you’re ready, click the button below to be introduced to the new hair style.

A huge thanks to my mate Chris Haych for taking the photos. I've done the retouching and editing, as I wanted them done as soon as possible and to save Chris from having to do it. I'd love to know what you think of my new do, so leave a comment below. Also, if you like the photos, you can comment about them as well.

And because I'm awesome, here's a speed retouching video for you to enjoy. Just click the image below to start playing.
